Windows Password Recovery
Today I’m going to guide you on Windows Password Recovery. You can reset any user or admin password in Windows 7 with your bare hands without any software or bootable USB/DVD whatever.
Just follow my instructions, and I’ll try to explain as clearly as possible.
How to Perform Windows Password Recovery?
The main idea of this trick our task here is to run the command prompt and then reset the password to run the command prompt at the login screen. We have to assign that function to the ease of access button.
When you press this button, it runs the ease of access applications, which is located in C: Drive windows > system32. Here it is utilman.exe.
Basically, if you move in this folder, any executable file named Utilman, this button will run that application at the login screen. Also, you’ll find CMD.exe here, which is a command prompt.
So the main idea is simply to rename CMD to Utilman.
Let’s Start Windows Password Recovery Process:
First of all, we have to perform one unexpected system shutdown press the power button to turn on your PC. When you see the windows logo, hold the power button down, and PC shuts down now what input normally click on the launch startup repair and lets it do its job.
You have to get this message that startup repair cannot repair this computer in case if you see this message do you want to restore your computer click cancel and wait. After that, you will get an error message ok click on View problem details and then scroll down next click the privacy statement link.
Explorer Window:
Here is the moment where the magic begins. Now go to file menu and click Open drop down the list and select all files now using this Explorer window you can get access to all data.
Now you can easily copy, move, delete, or rename files. Also, you can transfer your data from PC to USB flash drive insert a flash drive right-click inside the Explorer window and click refresh. You’ll probably notice that the Drive letters are different here. Your C Drive will be D. Anyway. The drive letter doesn’t matter. Just find the proper windows folder there told them, and only one has Utilman file.
Rename Files:
So if you can’t find Utilman in the system32 folder, you’re on the wrong Drive. In such a case, go to the right location to rename you Utilman just add one symbol to the name.
The next step is to rename CMD to Utilman and finally close all windows and restart.
Changing Password:
Click on the bottom-left button, and here’s almighty command prompt if you type Who am I command as you will see you’re under the system account. It’s the most authoritative account in Windows.
First, we have to list all available users type net user and press ENTER then type net user “account name” you want to reset. For example, “HP” is your username.
If your account name consists of multiple words or not English letters, then you have to put that name in quotation marks net user “account name” * and press Enter. If you simply want to reset that password just press the Enter key twice or type in your password and then retype to confirm it.
By the way when you type the password, it doesn’t show up for security reasons. Now you can close the command prompt window and try to log in, and you will see it works.
Also, it works for windows 8 and 10 but requires a bootable USB or DVD to rename those files I’d also recommend renaming CMD and Utilman back to its normal names you already know how to do it good luck.
