On the settings menu, you can go to privacy and in the “feedback and diagnosis,” where Microsoft claims that by default, it came with the full smoke that sends snapshots of memory and stuff.
How to Fix This Error Using Group Policy Editor?
So let’s get rid of this culprit.
First, go to search and type task scheduler click on task scheduler expand the task scheduler library then expand Microsoft than Windows then application experience. Now Inside the application experience folder locate task named Microsoft compatibility appraiser now all you need to do is right-click on it and disable it.
Now what you have done here is you have prevented windows from automatically initiating the tasks inside the scheduler. So let’s go and take a look at the task manager. If the service is still running in the background, you can see here it’s gone, and also the disk usage seems stable at this moment. Now let’s give this a final blow and turn it off from Group Policy editor in search box type gpedit.msc under the administrative templates expand the windows component then click on application compatibility. Now here double-click on turn off application telemetry and then disable it click OK.
Disable Telemetry Using the District Editor:
The second solution that we’ave is to disable telemetry using the district editor. This editor is a powerful tool if we change keys, which you have no idea that you might risk your computer becoming non-functional. So it’s recommended to take to your registry backup first and then go for the change first windows in our essential type “Regedit” click on yes.
It prompts first of we are going to take a backup so we can export and save whatever name you want and save it at any location. Now, wait for the export to get completed. Right now navigate to “HK” > “local machine” > “software policies” > “Microsoft Windows” and “data collection“.
If you find a key saying a lot of telemetries here double click and open it if you don’t find one, you can create one for the telemetry save and name it to allow handy mercury and set its value to 0 and click OK. Taking Ownership of The Process:
If the problems persist at this stage, you can try taking ownership of the process executable & rename or change the permissions so it will not run automatically. You’ll need administrative access to follow the solution press windows key, and then we get to see “windows” > “system32“. Now here search for the executable named CompatTelRunner right click on the file and click on properties and navigate to the security tab and select advanced.
In advance, change the Honor click advanced again and click on find now. From here, you can check to select your account and click on apply. Now your account is Honor of this executable close the program and then click OK.
After that, click the security and then go to advance for administrators. Here you can remove all the permissions of this file. If this still doesn’t help, you can delete this file, or you can rename it so that it won’t be running again. Restart your computer and check if the problem is solved.
